How We Pick Your Perfect Vendors

Pairing clients with their absolute dream vendors is one of the most important pieces of the conceptualization and production process of every event and wedding. It has to be so personalized, because your team sets the tone of the entire experience for not only the host planning the event, but the guests who will attend. It’s like lego, it all needs to fit just right. Effortlessly. The team is never the same twice, because every couple and client is unique and special and has different requirements, personalities and expectations.

My process for pairing clients with their perfect vendors is extremely thoughtful and a part of my role I do not take lightly. It’s essentially the recipe for every event. I actually love the beginning, because it’s a blank slate. Who are you? What is the experience going to be? What is your personal aesthetic? I often invite myself into your home or office for first meeting before we make any decisions. It’s a humbling experience for me. I love how you let me in, the things you openly share when I ask personal questions, and the advice you so genuinely receive from me. We build a foundation, a bond, and then – I go to work. This is my version of art. It’s so customized every time, and to me that makes each masterpiece one of a kind.

I give three options per vendor category with similar, yet varying styles, price points and personalities. No more than that unless absolutely necessary, because once I know you, I generally know who “the one” is going to be in each category. But I have to give you options to make the right choice. No one ever asks me for more options. The only time I veer outside of this process is when on rare occasion, you might have a bestie, connection, or relationship that is non-negotiable. And I will always wholeheartedly support that (unless I think you’re making a huge mistake….).

My area of genius is our relationship, from the beginning. We trust and respect each other so we can have open dialogue all the way through. I am your new best friend. Of course, vendors have to represent not only your aesthetic vision and budget, but there is much more to it than that. They need to service you. You are not booking people without a phone or video call with me by your side. I need to see it myself, too. Catch the vibe between you. The relationship has to go both ways. Ask any event or wedding vendor, it has to be a good fit for both supplier and client. Once we have our team in place, it is a collective effort to bring every piece and detail to life, and then some. It takes a village and a ton of legwork and collaboration behind the scenes.

Our teams go above and beyond every single time. I don’t work with suppliers who do anything less than above and beyond. When it comes to conceptualizing and producing events, I can be a little extra with ideas that are specialized – so I have to work with people who want to be extra too, and function with ease completely outside of the box. No templates please! The one’s who bend and stretch and don’t flinch when we need to adjust a plan. They are creatives, artists, the best in the business. Any vendor who works with us knows they they’re getting a solid plan well in advance, programming, support, and a big warm hug just before show time.

Events, it’s a TEAM SPORT and we have to look out for each other, you know?! It’s so fulfilling to see the relationships form between each team of suppliers and with our clients. We did that. We deliver you your perfect A-team, every. single. time.
