Why We Love Full-Service Planning

I have been in the hospitality industry for just shy of 20 years. I started in restaurants and worked all of the positions, front of house and back of house, and eventually shifted to events. I strongly believe that anyone who chooses hospitality as their field of choice should wash the dishes before they work in a position of management whether that be managing staff or clients, and especially if you are an entrepreneur in this business.

When I plan events, I understand what is happening on every level. From venue sales and set up, operations, culinary, the vendor experience. There are a lot of moving parts and I plan every detail with every aspect of each production, top of mind - from start to finish.

Don’t get me wrong, there is a real need and niche for event coordination and support planning. Not everyone has the budget for full-service production. I know brilliant wedding and event businesses that specialize in coordination, and I have a great rapport with many of them who I love to refer when I can.

Why I specialize in full-service luxury level planning and production is because of the experience it brings couple’s, their families and special guests. I don’t want to come in halfway and take over, my passion and expertise is to fully curate the entire experience from location to programming napkin fold. I have lived and breathed hospitality for my entire career, you might say it is a love language of mine. It is an all-encompassing experience, and I can feel it in how my clients interact with me. I become an extension of this core memory, and the immediate family - it is the best feeling in the world!

So what is it, the full service start to finish experience? My team and I are with you from first phone call to last speech. We are your one stop shop. You can be as involved or not involved as you want to be. One thing I know forsure is, your inbox certainly reaps the benefits of us liaising with all of the back and forth that goes on anywhere from 1-2 years.

My passion, purpose and fulfillment in my job, is joyfully creating while bringing people together. I am humbled to work with like-minded events pros, think outside of the box and push creative boundaries. The true essence of my role is seeing the looks on people’s faces when we reveal the final result of a space, taste the food, hug each other, and so purely and vulnerably enjoy themselves in an environment that you dreamed up in your brain. I want to always bring more happiness to others, entertain, host, create, and spend time with people and clients who appreciate the hospitality experience and this level of service. Bringing a vision to life through food, entertainment, décor and carefully curated experiences, to me, is an art. All of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes, sometimes years in advance, with multiple suppliers and event professionals, it is truly a team sport that brings happiness to others in the most beautiful way.
